Best Miami Restaurants (According to Yelp)

Besides sandy beaches and breathtaking sunsets, Miami spoils its locals and visitors with its cuisine. Countless restaurants all around the city are savoring the traditional dishes of people who made Miami their home, as well as creating new and exciting meals that went on to represent the Floribbean cuisine. Caribbean, Cuban, and Latin American flavors have come together to form this unique blend of tastes and aromas.

We present you with a list of the best spots around where you can get an authentic Miami dish and some more.

1. Crazy About You

Located at Brickell Bay Drive, right on the waterfront, this restaurant is great for sitting outside and enjoying the view. Crazy About You offers Mediterranean dishes, but also a taste of Floribbean cuisine. Popular dishes are ham croquettes, beef short ribs, and oxtail tacos. They also have a wide range of cocktails.

2. Old’s Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina

For traditional Cuban food, head over to Old’s Havana Cuban Cocina, located in Little Havana. Try Vaca Frita, Ropa Vieja, or empanadas, and spice them up with some delicious cocktails. There is also live Cuban music in the evenings to make your experience even more authentic.

3. WHISK Gourmet Food & Catering

Do you wish to have a true home-cooked meal? WHISK is then a restaurant you need to check out. They are serving American food with a bit of Southern influence. Hearty dishes such as fried chicken and pork chops are among my favorites here, including classic American pancakes.

4. Mandolin Aegean Bistro

In case you are hungry for some seafood, but with a bit of a different flavor, Mandolin Bistro is your best bet. Turkish and Greek dishes are served here and the mix of these Mediterranean and Oriental tastes will make your taste buds happy. Try grilled octopus, Mediterranean bass, or stuffed zucchini.

5. CHI.CHE 105

Located close to Bayfront Park, you will find this Peruvian restaurant. There is a big selection of seafood, with a ceviche seafood plate being the most popular one. There are also some more traditional dishes originating from Peru such as rice with chicken, chaufa rice, and rice with seafood.

6. KYU

If you are looking for more of a fine dining experience, KYU is worth looking into. This Asian fusion restaurant is situated in Wynwood. The crowd’s favorites are Korean fried rice, pork belly steamed bun, and king crab fried rice. Also, don’t miss out on their coconut cake!

7.  Bunbury

For all Argentinian cuisine lovers, Bunbury is the perfect spot to visit. Delicious meals, such as duck confit, grilled vacio, or braised lamb, accompanied by one of the exquisite wines from their selection are bound to make your dinner memorable.

8. Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

Are you looking for Japanese restaurants? Try out Gyu-Kaku. This restaurant serves Japanese dishes but with a twist. Their special barbecue, including a bit of Asian fusion taste, can be found on their menu. Try out Sukiyaki Bibimbap, Harami Skirt Steak, or Spicy Tuna Volcano.

9. Tacos & Tattoos

Probably the best tacos and Mexican food in Miami can be found in this family-owned restaurant. Grab a bite of queso Frito, tostone Rellenos, or buffalo chicken. If you are unsure what to order, ask the staff and they will gladly list their recommendations.

10. Cafe Roval

In case you are looking for a perfect venue to organize a romantic dinner or a birthday celebration, Cafe Roval is a cozy seafood restaurant with flavorful dishes and outdoor seating. There is also a tiki bar for all your cocktail needs. Try the grilled octopus and smoked short ribs.
